The new Photo Gallery is online !!!
The Photo Gallery allows every user to post photo's. This can be done in two places:
- the general public section or
- your own gallery section
The albums in the general section are set up by the webmaster, Khiaw, and you can add photo's to any of these albums. You might not be able to modify your photo's later (so pls ask Khiaw to make changes).
In your own gallery section you can create your albums, upload photo's and choose which types of members can view your photos. You can also choose if others can upload photo's to your gallery or not. And whether others can rate your photo's and make comments. You can also change everything.
If you have any question about the followng instructions, just place it here and it will be answered soon.
Here's how you do it, for your own "My Gallery":
How to create an album:
- log in
- you can choose between normal and admin mode through the @ menu
- -- in admin mode you can modify your photo galleries and photo's
- -- in normal mode you won't be bothered with admin functions
- click on the @ menu, right next to the home button
- choose "Admin mode"
- see "Create/order my albums", "Modify my albums", My profile"
- click "Create/order my albums"
- in the Album Mangager, click "New"
- write name of your new album into the bottom line
- click "Apply modifications"
- click "Modify my albums"
- make an album description, and you can also change album title
- the album thumbnail is the last photo uploaded, you can change this later
- choose permissions for this album:
- -- who can view your album, etc (arrow box)
- -- who can post pictures to your album
- -- comments and ratings possibel (yes/no)
- as long as there are no pictures in your album, you cannot yet see it
How to add pictures to your album:
- you need to be logged in
- click on the @ menu item
- click "Upload picture"
- choose the album you want to upload to (arrow box)
- -- remember to choose your own album (or choose a public album).
- click "Browse" and look for the picture on your computer
- write a short title and a description
- enter some search key words (optional)
- double check your entries
- click "Upload picture"
- you can specify the album's cover photo in "modify album" (if you want)
- done
To add photo's to the general public section, just click "Upload photo" and chose the album that you want to add it too.
Note: you need to have cookies enabled - so that the photo gallery will know who you are. If you are are logged in, but the photo gallery still shows you "Login" instead of your own "My gallery" options, you need to enable your cookies.
